Ocean, beach, tropical etc - This wooden seahorse planter is painted ocean blue, and filled with sola flowers, local shells and "bubbles".
This clever creation uses 1 1/2 inch to 2 1/2" *Sola wood flowers - rannuculus-style that is labeled "shell" style by distributors and five point flowers.
The flowers are dyed in ocean blue, bright blue, turquoise and white. The flowers are in floral foam covered with preserved moss and shell chips.
The shells included are both tropical and local to New England - cleaned and bleached. Bubbles are clear faceted beads on wire wrapped in white floral tape.
The total size is 11 1/2 inches long (seahorse) by 6 1/2 inches at widest point.
*Sola wood comes from a tapioca plant root called Cassava (a.k.a. manioc, arrowroot, yucca). This woody shrub can be dried down to a powder to create tapioca. Since Cassava is native to tropical climates, it is extremely drought resistant. Sola wood flowers are sustainable and naturally recyclable, the dyes are natural, the white and skin flowers are actual soft wood. Some natural wood flowers often have small rips or tears - please view photos - these bouquets look beautiful and any natural tears are not obvious.

A note about our authentication and correctness of descriptions:
We have exercised reasonable effort to describe each item we sell, correctly and accurately. Unless otherwise noted there is no official authentication of our items, authentication comes with a fee, and will mean additional costs. Most of our items that are certified authentic are done so via consignment sales, usually specialized auction companies. We take as many photos as we can to show details of our items, and do our best to describe any flaws.
We know many of our items from estate clearances are "loved," have been used, and will show signs of wear and or storage.

History:
We started this online store during the pandemic to sell items we would usually sell at local estate clearance sales and have decided to continue.
It amazes us how much some who clear estates, throw away. That means many missed opportunities, estate sales, to us, is the ultimate form of recycling or upcycling.
There's always someone who will match with an item, it's just a matter of making the effort to find the right person and make that match.
We have expanded to include Sola flowers, arranged, bouquets and will do custom orders too.
We appreciate your interest and business.

A personal note about selling on Etsy from our store owner, we put our own store at risk by posting this message, but we have not received answers from Etsy about these concerns:
We are disappointed to see so many items for sale on Etsy that do not comply with Etsy policies. We take Etsy rules and policies seriously and comply them. When items we have to sell do not qualify per Etsy rules and policies, we sell them on other online platforms and in person, we do not and will not violate Etsy policies. Items that are not handmade should not be listed as handmade. Items that are not vintage should not listed as vintage. Examples we see often are the planters we purchase from floral suppliers to use with Sola arrangements, sold here on Etsy by other sellers as handmade or vintage planters. This is unfair to those who make similar items by hand. It is impossible for artists to compete with factory-made.
Please, if you see something listed as handmade or vintage, that you suspect is imported and or factory made, ask the seller to clarify, and report the item to Etsy.
Help us keep Etsy honest and true to it's advertising.
