Vintage Sydenstricker Handmade Glass Shallow Bowl Muted Cranberry Excellent Condition - From a New England Estate

A sort of muted cranberry with bubbles in the glass both within the shape and in the bowl without.
This is a shallow fluted bowl
9 1/2 inches across
1 1/4 inches high

Handmade locally, here on in Southern MA
These pieces are artisan made with great care for detail, a little about their process:
The process begins with a large sheet of clear glass. The glass is cut into two identical pieces which will eventually become fused together to form the finished piece. One of these sheets of clear glass is placed in the artist’s workstation above a light source. A stencil made of paper, fabric or thin plastic is placed on the glass and covered with different colors of powdered glass using a mesh sieve. The stencil is removed and this process is repeated many times, as each pattern is a series of hand-cut stencils. After the bottom glass is decorated and inspected, the matching glass sheet is carefully placed on top. The terracotta molds are then prepped for firing, arranged in the kilns, and the decorated pieces are centered onto each mold. The kilns are set to reach a temperature of 1500°F, locking the colored design in between the two sheets of clear glass as they fuse together.

We have exercised reasonable effort to describe each item we sell, correctly and accurately. Unless otherwise noted there is no official authentication of our items, authentication comes with a fee, and will mean additional costs. Most of our items that are certified authentic are done so via consignment sales, usually specialized auction companies. We take as many photos as we can to show details of our items, and do our best to describe any flaws.
We know many of our items from estate clearances are "loved," have been used, and will show signs of wear and or storage.

We have artists among us. In addition to our estate sales we will be adding artists' work and supplies for crafting.


Estate sales are recycling or upcycling.
It amazes us how much some who clear estates, throw away. That means many missed opportunities, estate sales, to us, is the ultimate form of recycling or upcycling. There's always someone who will match with an item, it's just a matter of making the effort to find the right person and make that match, .

A personal note about selling on Etsy from our store owner, we put our own store at risk by posting this message, but we have not received answers from Etsy about these concerns:
We are disappointed to see so many items for sale on Etsy that do not comply with Etsy policies. We take Etsy rules and policies seriously and comply them. When items we have to sell do not qualify per Etsy rules and policies, we sell them on other online platforms and in person, we do not and will not violate Etsy policies. Items that are not handmade should not be listed as handmade. Items that are not vintage should not listed as vintage. Examples we see often are the planters we purchase from floral suppliers to use with Sola arrangements, sold here on Etsy by other sellers as handmade or vintage planters. This is unfair to those who make similar items by hand. It is impossible for artists to compete with factory-made.
Please, if you see something listed as handmade or vintage, that you suspect is imported and or factory made, ask the seller to clarify, and report the item to Etsy.
